When you open the app, you see the conversation list with all your active chats. Here is how to work through everything from your phone.

01Find your conversations

  • Tap the hamburger icon to change your inbox view.
  • Search for contacts, add new ones, or filter conversations by status.
  • Tap a conversation to open the chat.

02Reply from the messaging console

Inside a chat, the messaging console gives you the same tools as the desktop Inbox:

  • Upload files, images or videos from your device or media library.
  • Record and preview an audio message before sending.
  • Use Snippets for a saved reply, or type a slash for quick access.
  • Use Variables to insert contact information, or type a dollar sign for quick access.
  • Use AI Prompt to suggest a response, adjust tone, translate, or fix grammar.
  • Use AI Assist to draft a reply based on recent messages.

03Move conversations forward

  • Update the Lifecycle Stage by tapping the arrow for the next stage, or the box to jump to a specific stage.
  • Need to follow up later? Snooze idle contacts to bring the conversation back at a scheduled time.
  • Once you are done, tap the tick icon to close the conversation.

04Contact details and teamwork

  • Tap to view contact details anytime.
  • Add comments to keep your team updated, and tag a teammate if you need help.
  • To see every message where you were tagged, go to the Notifications tab.

05Get the app

Download the respond.io mobile app, then sign in. If you cannot sign in, use a magic link from the login screen, or speak to support.

That is the core of the mobile app. Next, speed up every reply with snippets, variables and AI.
